What you can do

To protect yourself and others, here are some things you can do to assist in reducing the spread of the virus:

  • Avoid close contact with others.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Financial difficulties

If you experience financial difficulties during this time (such as reduced/lost income due to job closure) and are unable to meet your financial obligations to the credit union, call (504) 885-6871 and speak with Carla.  We are here to work with members on a case by case basis.

We have also reopened our Swap and Drop promotion. With Swap and Drop, we can lower your auto loan rate up to 2%* and your first payment is deferred by 60 days. If you are struggling to make your auto loan payments to another lender, Swap and Drop is a good resource for you. Learn more on our Swap and Drop page.

Avoiding scams

Unfortunately, there are many people who have decided to use this pandemic to their advantage. They are using the fear and confusion surrounding this event to perform scams on the general public.
