You are eligible to join POECU if you are within our field of membership listed below. Visit any one of our three branches to fill out a membership application or complete your membership application online.

FIELD OF MEMBERSHIP

  1. Persons who live, work, worship or attend school in:

    • The 5th Council District of Jefferson Parish

    • Covington, LA

  2. Persons who are employees of (and their family):

    • United States Postal Service headquartered in New Orleans

    • U. S. Department of Homeland Security (who work permanently in the New Orleans (South Central) CMC Region (LA, AL, AR, TN and MS)

  3. Persons who are licensed or employed by one of the following Boards in Baton Rouge, Louisiana:

    • Louisiana State Board of Barber Examiners

    • Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology

  4. Persons who are employed by one of the following “Member Employer” offices:

    • Barkley & Thompson, L.C.

    • Corporate Realty (who work in New Orleans)

    • Foley & Judell, LLP (who work in New Orleans and Baton Rouge)

    • GCI Forwarding Company, Inc. (who work in Metairie, LA)

    • Greater New Orleans, Inc. (who work in New Orleans)

    • Gulf States Forwarding, Inc.

    • George Wm. Rueff, Inc. (who work in New Orleans, LA)

    • Harrah’s Casino (New Orleans)

    • Higgins International Services, Inc. (who work in Kenner, LA)

    • Louisiana State Board of Dentistry (who work in New Orleans)

  6. An immediate family member of a POECU member

  7. A member in good standing with UFCW Local 496 in Metairie, Louisiana

  8. The widow or widower of a person who died while in the field of membership of the Homeland Federal Credit Union (formerly USCFCU)

  9. An employee of POECU

  10. Members of their immediate families and organizations of such persons
